Step by step
Open Settings → General
Go to Settings → General and open the Booking Policy section.
Set Cancellation window
Cancellation window is hours before the booking (salon default). Use it as your stated cancel policy. Customer cancel from the confirmation page is separate — see Customer cancel or reschedule online.
Set Buffer time
Buffer time is the salon-level default field labelled as global prep/cleanup between bookings. Availability spacing used when generating slots and creating bookings comes from each service’s Prep and Cleanup minutes — edit those under Services.
Save and spot-check
Save Booking Policy. Then open Direct booking and confirm times still look right for a short service after Prep/Cleanup changes on Services.
